I took tyrogue as my starter but quickly realized I had to race to the department store before lvl 20 while simultaneously trying to make as much cash as possible so I could buy proteins and stop my tyrogue from becoming the Chan he wanted to be so he could be the Lee he was meant to be. Its the little things you don't think about and the route you get to plan out that I think is really cool. some of my friends that haven't played a mainline game in years were so curious about the hack they tried it and loved it. So I can safely say there is something great about it. I also liked running into wild pokemon that caught me off guard, like a level 30 flareon in cinnabar mansion that almost game overed me but also became a surprise bro. I liked being able to teach my mons some of their tutor and egg moves too, it REALLY helps gen 2 to have access to good moves. Thats the kind of thinbg that makes vanilla impossible to go back to.
Good job shockslayer, I seriously hope the community can make an emerald or platinum hack in the same vein
