That's a lie to an extent, it will in general help a lot if you're just more active over the day. Using active calories (I mean the "todays consumed carbs" resource) still helps regardless of it being 40 or 1000. The problem is whether or not there is a calorie deficit below on on the exact average of about 8700kj.

The problem with GO is that it is generally quite slow paced. People aren't reeeeeeally walking briskly which overall lowers the metabolism of reaching stored fat for energy. Your blood/body isn't warm enough to warm up the fat for softening fat deposits and your blood is not delivering and processing anything fast enough.

SO walking, in theory, if done at the correct brisk pace is actually incredibly good and efficient for losing weight. It's actually better for you in the long run. Slow walking isn't going to help anyone unless they diet harder.

Half the speed = more than triple the time needed. Temperature and heart rate are crucial for exponential weight loss results when it comes to any exercise.

You still have to catch multiple of the same species to evolve and make stronger, since last I checked there’s no battling in the wild. That’s not very fun and you can’t form attachments. What would make my starter Pokemon special when I could always keep finding a species with a higher Level? Also I liked all of the features of the main games that kept getting butchered, GO just doesn’t do it for me.

Also the amount of resources you have to dump to max out a Pokemon usually makes me appreciate any singular addition to my roster to some degree.
If you just use the face value highest level mon you catch, you probably aren't min-maxing breakpoints for raids, gym defense (as much of a joke as that is), or pvp. Shortmanning the legendary raids with some bros is where the game gets fun, and is something the mainline games can't offer.

They keep adding quest lines and stories to keep you playing.
It’s no replacement for the RPG element if that’s what you like, but GO keeps growing as the mainline games give less and less. The mainline games are starting to have the merit of simply introducing mew characters when it could be doing so much more. I want them to be better so badly.

Yeah it’s not really. It costs currency (stardust), sometimes a lot for legendaries.
The stats do get rerolled which can be good. You can also get “lucky” Pokemon from trades which require less stardust to power up. Would be a nice feature for mainline (e.g. require less EXP to power up) but not really necessary.

Nothing except that I actually play the game. Everything loses to mewtwo, lugia and Giratina-A. The game only has two attack moves per mon and it's 90% tapping for winning. They even restrict the number of switch outs

Completely contradicts with your first point, then how is it making a profit? It's because of the microtransaction cancer. A gaming PC is useful beyond gaming. A Nintendo console has other games for it beyond Pokemon. Paying a set price for a game is better than letting it constantly bleed you for cash.

Literally just cranked out today, hasn't even been out long enough to tell if it's actually good or not.

Trading is severely limited even with the 1/4th stardust event discount, mainline trading is unlimited. Spoofers and competitivefags are greedy as fuck with their Stardust anyway. PvP isn't fun, you just compete to see who can tap the screen the best.
