Actual Challenges that are determined by a random roulette for every gym. Base Rules - First 3 gym leaders all have 3 Pokemon, to which you must chose 3 to fight with when walking into the gym. Next 3 all have 5, same rules. Last 2 have a full 6. Gym Leaders Anchor'mon is the same level as your highest, and the rest are scaled accordingly.
Death Match: gauntlet of trainers up till the Leader. HP is retained, cannot heal even outside of battle. Basically your bag is locked til you quit or lose. Held Items are ok.
Duals, Triples, and Rotations: I just really want them to utilize this more in-game since introduced.
Flag Bearer: A Pokemon on your team is randomly chosen to Hold a Flag, it takes up your held item slot, and is the only Pokemon you can use for the challenge, likewise every trainer also only has 1 Pokemon, and you collect their flags after beating them. Collect all flags to fight Gym Leader, Flag Bearer mode ends before the leader.
Guardian: Rotation Mode, Choose 3 for the challenge, a mon on your team is then reverted to Lvl 1. Keep them alive til you reach the gym leader.
Maybe more, just made these off the top of my head. but challenges similar to these. I would also hope that after clearing the gyms or the E4 you could challenge the gyms again in any mode of your choosing, and get a collectable for each mode. Or a Tiered Gym Badge system like "Golden Kek Badge"to"Platinum Kek Badge".
