Tobias. Absolutely beasted Ash in the Sinnoh Pokémon League using a Darkrai and a Latios. It's even stated that he got all eight of his badges using said Darkrai, which implies it might've been his first Pokémon.

Man, this was another big "fuck you" from the pokemon anime team.
It felt like an accomplishment when Ash was the only trainer who managed to beat 2 of his pokemon but still bullshit. In retrospect, it was almost funny.
