I did pick Chespin because I like its final evolution the most, I don't like Fennekin for being too feminine and Froakie because it's frog.
I did understand why nobody pick Chespin, it's got shit types and stats.

I picked Chespin for my X playthrough because my other friends said they were gonna get Fennekin or Froakie and I said I'd go pick it so we could all get al the starters easily.

This agreement was made before their evolutions were revealed. While I didn't mind Chespin, I disliked both of its evos.

Now I'm a Froakie guy.

I like Serperior's whole line though, and Samurott would be perfect if they fixed its anatomy some. Emboar I just don't understand- I don't hate it but they could've made it a volcano boar on four legs. Literally anything else.
Say what you will, but I think these were the very last starters that didn't follow the most marketable formula of buff, cool, girly.
