It's lit differently. For some reason they highlighted every object that you can interact with, like the pokeball item icon or the berry tree.
I bet you can look inside it for an item.

Yeah, it's called shaders dumbass. Very very easy to apply with mods.

I honestly wish 3DS romhacking was bigger. A 3D romhack fangame would really go to show what a crock of shit SwSh is.

Seriously if town can have cleaner texture work and 3D object in the background instead of blurry 2D pictures than there's no excuse for SS to look like that

The colors are really what saves it. There's tons of jaggies and low rez textures but everything else feels bright and lively which is something 6+7 didn't really have most of the time. Muted colors can make or break a game's tone.

But the screen on the top isn't what Sun Moon actualy looks like. That's an emulator running it super charged for improvements both graphical and resolution-wise, also framerate.
