What if I told you that gen. 8 is about to introduce something that changes the last 20 years of pokemon? In Pokemon Sword and Shield the game shows us that Pokemon can evolve more than twice, adding a 4th member to some evolutionary lines. This isn't a Mega Evolution, a regional form, OR a gigantamaxed pokemon but an all new "level" to that Pokemon's evolutionary tree. So far it has been shown that 3 species of pokemon are able to evolve an additional time. I won't tell you which three. I will leave that for you all to guess until the big reveal.
