>>39449177Most of those eps were good, the only really badly done contest ep was May/Brock only because May's win was handled unrealistically. I loved that the Contests felt like tournaments and a place for the girl to battle, but since the writers didn't really define contest rules that much like they would in DP, May just felt like a regular battler but I liked that.
May is arguably the closest thing to a regular female battler we've had on the cast. Every other girl rarely battles and while Dawn did a lot of battling, most of her battles in Contests were performance based focused on appeals and combinations. May went straight for the KO in most of her contest battles.
