I guess I have a story. Even if it was based off baby-mode game design, the way it happened was hype as fuck
>playing LGP, team is Op starter Pikachu, Golduck, Aerodactyl, Nidoking, Arcanine, Venomoth
>beat elite four and set off to catch Mewtwo
>battle engage
>literally just one shots everything on my lvl 50 team and wrecks my shit because of the stat boost mechanic for legendary fights
>do a little prep work, go for paralysis strat to get him low
>main plan is to use my Pikachu to sacrificial lamb into Mewtwo to let my heavy hitters outspeed him, plan on using Nidoking's megahorn to finish the fight
>evidently its old school paralysis rules in LGP and he outspeeds my Nidoking and Venomoth
>only two left are arcanine and golduck, but Mewtwo is looking weak
>Arcanine goes out, hes my favorite.
>select flare blitz hoping hes faster and that he doesn't get wrekt
>psychic comes out, destroying my poor doggo
>he hangs on at one health due to the love mechanic
>imagine in that moment, Mewtwo is taken aback at Arcanine standing up after that hit
>imagine Arcanine looks over at me, weak in the knees and bleeding, thinking "I got this bitch for you, bro"
>flare blitz hits for the rest of Mewtwo's health, but knocks out Arcanine
>catch Mewtwo with a master ball
Call me a casual all you want, but that has been the most memorable Pokemon moment for me in the last while. LGP was comfy AF.
