>>39445951For one, don't remove battle features. I'm not saying Dynamax and Gigantamax can't happen, but don't remove Mega Evolution and Z Moves. And expand on them all more.
Also don't remove Triple and Rotation Battles. Rotation Battles were probably the single coolest innovation in the franchise with how much strategy goes into them. I think I'd like to see them refine the current formats more. There should be options where in multi-battles, all players can use full teams instead of only being limited to two, or even team Triple battles like that.
Pokemon's main flaw lately is that the game is pretty bare of post game content. Gen 3, 4 and 5 offered lots to do, but Gen 6 and 7 were pretty bare. Only one battle facility was an issue.
What Id like to see is a combination of different facilities. A Battle Frontier, A Pokemon World Tournament, but also an addition of features from Stadium, like the different Cups with different pools of Pokemon you could use like NFE Pokemon and such. Maybe some sort of "Endurance" challenge mode like Mt Battle or something where you only have a limited pool of recovery or can only do it after a set amount of battles.
Basically, facilities like these or other such challenges for players to do than just one Battle Tower-esque mode.
There should also be other, non-battle stuff to do. Now I never liked Contests, but they should find a way to refine them and make them better. Maybe other minigames too like the Pokethlon or even again, something like Stadium's.
Story is always subjective, so I just want less hand-holding. I could figure out where to go in Red when I was 6. I don't need NPC's bringing me there. I suppose one thing I did think was a step in the right direct for Gen 7 was using Lillie as close to being someone who travels with you. Since the PC is mute, they should use a companion like Colosseum did. They don't have to battle(Though having them for Doubles would be nice)
Running out of space, so I'll end it there
