Fire is, without a doubt the most creatively dead of all 16 pokemon types. I mean look at this shit, only a handful of three stage lines and they overwhelmingly starters only. And even then all their designs are the upmost braindead garbage. All just animals with flame aspects. Of course, we also have three fire/fighting lines for no fucking reason.

Even beyond the starters, it's all the same shit with few exceptions. Fire dogs, fire horses, more fire lizards, more fire monkeys.
What's actually original? The ghost lamps, the bullfrog, the steam engine lion, the possessed oven and the fireworks clown.
