Pokémon Sword and Shield theory.....the new Galar region is shaped like a sword and it is based on the UK. Kalos is shaped like a shield. Kalos is based on France. There are trains running all throughout Galar and there’s a train in Kalos...post game in Kalos via train?

Personally, I could see it if they have Sycamore start saying something about mega stones becoming uncommonly rare now and what not. Obviously I don't think they'll do a Kalos post game but there are a number of things that kind of hint at Kalos and Galar having a history in the past, at least.

Except the last one is actually plausible. France and the UK are pretty fucking close to each other and have a long history involving each other. Their Pokemon equivalents are probably even closer (so faster travel) and likely have a similar past involving wars and legendaries.

Kalos and Unova is traveling from fucking France to New York, and Alola is Hawaii to Japan. Way too fucking long to be realistically close enough to travel to as a post game.

That's kind of the thing: the real world counterparts are related but that's not necessarily saying that the game counterparts are. The closest things to legendaries is Galar having the Meltan on the hill and Melmetal supposedly vanishing for three millennia, which was around the time Kalos's WMD got blasted. I mean sure, there could be a connection there but there's nothing concrete right now.

We don't actually know that. Their real world counterparts are but their game counterparts are something different. There's Unova of all things just based on a city. Let's just be objective here.

Also Galar already has a Fighting and Grass Gym. You’d think they would use types that aren’t already gyms in Kalos like Johto with Kanto. Also Galar’s identity really looks to be its own standalone thing

It makes 100% sense, so it prob won't happen. If they had an actual additional, fleshed out region, it would be a viable excuse for where the focus is going, and they would have just told us about it instead of making up bullshit about animations and models that are easily discredited. One thing I've learned in 20 years of being a Pokemon fan is never try to look below the surface with gamefreak. There is nothing hidden there. What you see is what you get.

game freak would never do this because theyre incompetent and putting out a passable game thats the same in both versions is easier than making 2 games.
plus if they did im sure theyd make it bad somehow.
I just want kalos to feel complete and also want the ds era to get remakes, rather than getting sinnoh remakes in the next few years then waiting god know how long to see unova again
