it's theoretically next on my list, and I do like it well enough - I just haven't played Alola a third time yet, but it has always seemed obvious to me that it was the intended pick. Hau getting Popplio -> Primarina and Kukui getting Incineroar both make a great deal of sense for their established personalities, so leaving the player with Rowlet and Gladion with a Fire Silvally just seems inevitable even if there's no specific meaning behind those two picks. That doesn't necessarily mean anyone HAS to pick Rowlet, but I still think it makes more sense for it to go to the player than either of the others.
