Do you consider it to be cheating to use a pseudo in game?
This dude has been my ace since my first Platinum playthrough. Garchomp makes every game easy as shit, but I can't help using him.

Not really. They usually take a shit ton of effort to get to their final evolution and you have to drag around a somewhat weak form around while you're using fully evolved mons that work perfectly fine.

Yeah, Garchomp is one of the easier ones to use. It applies a lot more to most of the rest though. The only other exception I can think of is Kommo-o which evolves relatively quickly, even if you do get it late.

most of them are hard to obtain and level up to be on par with the rest of your team, and for garchomp theres really not a lot of other options in sinnoh.
using pseudos in gen 1-5 is rewarding for the effort required, but not unfair or cheating at all.

They are not that good in the first place. They evolve too late most of the time.

Do you think you're cheating while using Magnezone on B2W2 or Staraptor on DPP? Do you consider it to be cheating to use starters other than Meganium? What about eeveelutions? Aegislash on XY? Gardevoir on RSE? Alakazam on literally all games except BW? All those mons are broken in game (much more than pseudos and some legendaries) and most people don't have an issue using them

It's not cheating, but I choose not to use them because I want the little guys on my team to win.
Also because I used dragons a lot as a kid and overlooked the other fun pokemon available.
Now I just like to try out pokemon that look fun even if they suck.
