>most recent shiny?A Shiny Swinub, born on the 4th of July, who I got in five eggs. He's now a Mamoswine on my comp team, after I reset my sun game to do a nuzlocke run with him, and Mamoswine is now my 3rd favorite pokemon period. Also he got a portrait done for him.
>how are you coping with the cull?I went from excited to finally be able to play a game with my older brother (who only played Emerald and hasn't touched another one since) to extremely depressed my favorite series has gone against it's most core mechanic. Even though my favorites probably got in, my favorite mechanic (Megas, sue me) got cut for something even lazier, they've revealed they'll cut any and all mechanics to make it easier to push out the games cheaper and faster, and it's completely impossible to get invested in gen 8 anymore because I know I'll never see anything from it ever again. It just ruins the entire premise and point of Pokemon. Why should I give a shit about dynamaxing if it's just for a single game? Why should I give a shit about the stupid monkey starter if it's literally just going to be in that region and nowhere else? It's just...really depressing, that something that used to be filled with so much love has become so soulless and empty. It makes me sad, it really does. I never thought I'd have to say 'have all the pokemon should be a requirement of the games', but here we are I guess.
Then 2 days later I got the Swinub, started my run of Sun, got even more depressed when I realized how cheap, lazy and shoddily put together the game actually was (replaying it with a new mindset of what GF's really like completely killed the illusion and showed me just how terrible the game actually was) and I lost all drive to finish the run. Then someone drew the above portrait of the Mamoswine and, well, it helped me get out of my slump. Thanks drawfag.
