Here's the truth, Iris is a fictional character from the village of Dragons. The anime, manga and games give conflicting locations for where it is located. Because of this it can not be determined where she is actually from. So that means anyone can assign her the race they want but no one will ever be 100% right on who she is exactly supposed to represent.
The Iris debate is nonsensical and idiotic.
