Fuck that. If you don't want the game, don't get it. If you want to play with your friends but don't want to support GF, buy it used. If you can't wait for used copies to go up and really wanna play with your friends, just get it.
Whether or not you buy the game shouldn't be a "statement". It should just be whether or not you want it and think you'll have fun with it. GF doesn't give a shit either way here.

That's all that should matter here. If you want it, buy it, used or not.

I think Masuda is a cheap, lying son of a bitch, but that doesn't change the fact that I am still looking forward to the game and do want it still. I'm also impatient and will probably not wait for used copies to start circulating and just buy it new. I don't care that I'm "giving GF money" or "ruining the franchise". My purchase won't change the course of jack shit, so I'm not going to punish myself by keeping away from something I want to play.

I just wish that it was possible to send them a message so they actually make a good game.
I don't care about the story, i care about the post game. thats the entire reason gen 6 was my favorite (despite gen 2 being my first) because i could actually breed things i wanted and still play comp and not instantly lose to those who genned pokemon.
but they go all in on the story and leave 0 post game other than "hey go get these legendaries that we couldnt figure out how to properly incorporate into the story"

I played a bit of Gen 1 and 2 but starting getting into the series when RSE came out in 2002. Gen 3 is my favorite to this day.
