Those red turds just compound the problem I have with these games. While on a technical level, they are superior to the previous ones, they have just a terrible aethsetic, akin to your typical, big budget western game release. The colours are muted, the region lacks discernible flair, harsh reflective surfaces, and it looks empty. And Dynamax is simply ugly, with its terrible red highlights and the shitty turd clouds. Some Pokémon even resemble deflatable balloons, like the grass monkey. It’s all just unappealing to look at.
