Is there any reason why colloseum was the best Pokémon game?

There were a maximum of 51 different Pokémon to use in story mode, along with a 52nd one available in battle mode as an ultimate reward. Out of those 51, 48 were Shadow Pokémon and not even all those 48 were available before facing the final boss.

The difficulty spikes were also pretty good, provided you didn't grind. The bosses all used great strategies and were diverse.

After XD, Colosseum feels a bit unplayable. The Orre is still challenging as all hell too.

Fixed that for you.
XD has no shiny shadow Pokemon so it was a complete waste.
