>>39468834Wrong. The starters are worse than before, they all have the same “mushroom with rabbit ears” silhouette, and Impidimp is worse in that regard. They are getting lazier/more focused on easily drawing or manufacturing the designs cheaply.
Some of them do have a nice level of detail with the shading and linework, but most of them look like plastic toys or balloons, even more so than before.
If Impidimp at least had defined limbs or feet or a better proportioned head/body, it would be a lot better, Meowth is a good example of a less extreme balloon animal, but they literally went for the laziest options possible. It’s just disappointing to me, I keep seeing glimmers of hope and then it becomes obvious that the direction that started with Gen 6 is going to be the future of the franchise, probably forever.
And I don’t blame James. I doubt he’s responsible.
