Again, you understand that the 2DS/3DS have combined sales of over 70 million units? Over double the amount of switch units sold. Meaning those past 3DS sales are evidence of nothing. However, the one Pokemon game we do have evidence for, let’s go Pikachu/eevee, failed to sell as many units as botw. They’re also games that suffer sharp declines in sales after release, unlike botw which will have steady sales throughout the switches lifespan.

I honestly don't even think Trash Go sold as well as we're told.

Several times Trash Go has appeared in the top 5 - 10 sales in Japan supposedly and yet somehow every time the weekly thing from Nintendo Japan themselves doesn't include them in the top 20+ thing.

Kinda sounds like someone is lying because I'm doubting that was all or even mostly physical copies.

Supposedly Cuphead managed to make it to the top 10 a couple of those weeks and it hadn't even been released yet?

The first shot of the game in the first trailer features a bus stop sign that has higher geometry than entire buildings of the 3DS game.

the botw screenshot is a bullshot taken from the games starting cutscene, and so is the xenoblade one, which is from a press release and thus probably doctored too.

BotW does look beautiful, but it runs at 900p and, while it largely hits 30fps, still falls below at times.

Pokémon runs at 1080p and mostly seems to hit 30fps.

Pokémon has camping but that might just be an Amie clone or whatever, and fishing/interacting with the berry tree is stuff Pokémon has always had. BOTW is the only game out of those 3 that takes advantage of the open world aspect of the game.
