Nintendo Switch: 1–32 GB.
Notice, it isn't that the Nintendo switch cartridge is 2 times as big as the biggest 3ds cartridge, it is the fact that it is 4 times bigger. So hey, remember ultra sun and moon? They held the entire dex of pokemon that you could find up to that point. How was it inevitable exactly that removing pokemon was necessary or even needed?

The fact that development time is finite and the number of Pokemon keeps increasing.

50 years from now when there are say, 2000+ Pokemon, and a new console came out that requires them to update all the graphics, do you unironically expect them to waste time updating every single Pokemon + all their forms? No one is talking about memory space you retard.

Yes you should expect them to do that because the models were futureproofed so minimal work was needed to bring them forward, its why the 3ds games suffered from horrible framerate issues.

Doesn't mean they are going to use the same ones forever. Even by fucking LGPE they already made significantly better Pikachu and Eevee models. And regardless of whether or not they're futureproofed they still have to add new animations for every single new thing they want to do with the Pokemon. SS already has new animations just for Dynamax transformations and SM had to add walking animations.

Do you actually think that they don't use the old models as reference when they touch them up? Only a complete and utter moron would remake the models from scratch when updating them so yes, the models being futureproofed does matter. And if they are willing to animate walking animations into a fucking 3ds game that we never even saw for 800+ pokemon then obviously the current cut is either for laziness or money.
