Back in the day I started off with Yellow. I of course used my starter for everything, but I also caught a beast Nidoking that would carry me through the plethora of Rocks getting in pikaman's way. I lost them both due to stupidity when I shoved the cartridge in AFTER turning the Gameboy on, which erased the save somehow. I was 8 so I cried for a good while, stopped playing for a couple weeks even. Bye forever Nidobro and Pikachu
