I always thought there was some encounter there if you had some combo of the lake trio and other legends. I think it did get used for a dumb exposition event in platinum though. Maybe in the remakes put an encounter there - perhaps relocate shaymin there

I feel like there was a similar house in Mossdeep City in RSE and if you did move it (some wireless thing I think) it was just some place where you could have wireless battles for level 30 pokemon or some other underwhelming shit.
