It definitely doesn't feel like it should be played as a defensive mon, but it had a great matchup against one of Gen 6's biggest threats: Mega Scizor. Its stat spread reflects this: Giving it enough speed to outspeed threats up to base 95 speed, burn them with a will-o-wisp, and then retain enough defense left over to survive a hit. Hippowdon's Earthquake notably becomes a 2hko. Leftover stats went into Special Defense because it needed more survivability than raw power.
You're basically not going to find a mon with EVs in all six stats, because that would be redundant with the detrimental nature to at least one of those stats. A slow defensive wallbreaker isn't going to invest in speed. A fast mixed sweeper with a -Def nature isn't going to invest in defense.
The guy above me mentioned Tyranitar, which does seem likely. I'll do a quick check and see what I find.
