3D modelling are more costfriendly, enabling copy/paste with models and animation.
A decent looking game with beautiful sprites or hand drawn game will beat a 3D call of duty like game anytime.
The problem is that the newer generation of gamers didn't experienced the golden rule, that realism only works in reallife. We all playing games for imagination.
For me that's the most important point why GF ruined SwSh, through discarding they typical artstyle in pokemon games and replace it with an "breath of the wild" lookalike graphic style. Totally kills the association.
