Nobody would care about the animations if they didn’t flat out lie about them. Dexit was because game freak wanted to focus on high quality animations but from what we’ve seen of the game there isn’t a single high quality animation to be found.

This. Back in the days it was the fucking dream to play pokemon in 3d in a home console with all that it meant, the stage, animation, trainers, etc. We only got spin off games like pokemon stadium and colosseum but they were fucking amazing so "imagine how mainline pokemon games must look in home console". Flash forward to the present: Take me back.
