It still stings that the story was never properly finished. What better way to end off Game Freak’s swan song than a battle with BW’s protagonist, as it was originally planned and the series’s first finale had done years earlier?

idk, I really love gen 4 and bw but b2w2 feels like the first game to fall flat for me, it just seemed really distracted and tried to be too different from bw and wound up feeling very empty

they are bullshitting, the unused data of the BW player character only has 2 lines of dialogue so it was probably an uneventful battle
plus for the sake of plot and characterization of the BW protag's mom and N said protag should be completely missing, so it's very obvious their involvement was changed very early during development or was never considered and not a last minute removal or something they had no time to finish
