Why is it'sspecial attack greater than his physical attack? It's a samurai that uses shells to slash it's enemies, for crying out loud.

Has Gamefreak ever messed up this badly when it comes to stat distribution?

Well I believe Houndoom was the only dark type pre-split with a higher special attack than attack. So most of that type was cucked into leaning towards physical attack for a special attacking type

Could have just been pure Fire, honestly. Its natural learnset only has 2 Fighting type moves anyways (Hammer Arm requires heart scale to re-learn).

anon, they made a starter that had to either be grinded or carried in its own generation even in the remakes that went on to be unviable in every other region as well

What's even sadder is that they gave Alolan Golem Wild Charge so it can utilize the ability better than regular Golem can.

Even sadder? The Rhyhorn line only learns Takedown. Not even Double Edge like the others do.

Honestly, being sound-based I feel like it should have more Special Attack than physical attack.
If this lumpy dude had Boomburst and Liquid Voice, shit would be tight. In this case, give it Ice Beam too, because no Water type is complete without a good Ice move.

I used a Meganium in HGSS and had NO fucking issue. It's basically a meme at this point, and Pokemon is easy enough that you can basically use any Pokemon and still succeed. Yes, even with the Jhoto shitters. Just because you have to 2HKO instead of OHKO you didn't use one of your favorite Pokemon? That's honestly laughable.
Get the Swords Dance TM in Goldenrod, you'll be fine.

Still more logical compared to say Meganium getting Leaf Guard instead of Flower Veil, Empoleon getting Defiant over Competitive, Decidueye getting Long Reach over Sniper(no seriously, it's signature move doesn't make contact. What were they thinking?)

I'll have you know that Shell Armor and Battle Armor are perfectly good abilities. The only issue is that they don't make the player aware of when they come into effect. If Gamefreak made a little message that said "X was protected from critical hit!" when the ability protected you, I think everyone would appreciate these abilities a little more.

That being said, Samurott hates it, especially without any defensive boosting moves to take advantage of.
