>>39484311Yeah, stuff like this is what made me want to stop cosplaying years ago. I admit my stuff was more on the fun side that super-accurate like some do, but the stuff I kept seeing was just disappointing. People, both boys and girls, who made breathtaking cosplays, incredibly accurate, amazing props, or even some huge ass working mecha, they were always ignored in the end by some thot. It was really discouraging, people who put a lot of effort into creations that ended up looking fantastic, and to this day their fb pages have like 100 likes at most, vs thots who are wildly popular for putting on Miku's wig, underwear, and calling it "I'm Miku: bed version".
One example that I'm still baffled about, and it happened like 6 years ago, was during a competition. There was this girl doing Midna, but like, she hand painted the whole suit, plus all the back pattern in the robe, she had made herself the most accurate helmet I've ever seen anyone do, plus every single accessory. Her performance was about real-form Midna being attacked and she'd discard her robes/accesories and grab the helmet which was hidden, and arise as imp Midna. The performance was amazing, it truly felt like she was being attacked, and she did it all by herself, and again, her 2-in-1 cosplay looked IDENTICAL to the real Midna. People cheered and clapped. Next round a thot with a red wig, and a store bought pirate costume (not kidding, she admitted it afterwards) which barely covered her tits and crotch, walked onto stage, waved, mouthed a game line and walked off. Apparently she was doing a LoL character. That's all she did, walk, "talk", and leave.
Guess who won? Yeah. Then it turned out she actually slept with one of the judges as well, and all her thot circle did the same and would show up in competitions doing the same "wig+lingerie=apparently a character" thing, and won 8 out of 10 times.
