Other sites punish you greatly even for the tiniest of things, so imagine the outrage if you freely spoke your mind. All of us are a little bit racist/sexist/what have you, it's just that not everyone comes to term with that, most like to think they're perfect and faultless. Just because you don't see it often in other sites doesn't mean people don't think it, they're just acting accordingly since they're being moderated all the time and most want to uphold their image, specially now that even employers can check your social medias.
So all in all, 4chan is mostly people's raw thoughts, there's no image to uphold here, no names, and it just looks more bigoted in comparison because of the lack of restriction.
