There's no reason to pander to something so much that it suddenly a dozen different forms for it (cosplay pikachu, cap pikachu, surfing pikachu), a special item for it to use, and arguably had a giant redesign from its original, fat KANTOOOOO self, especially when the supposed mascot is only #4 in its own "most popular Pokemon" poll. Meanwhile, Eevee will be lucky to even get one evolution in Gen 8, despite being objectively more interesting than a fucky little rat that actively discourages you from using a core feature of the god damn series it stars in.
