Honestly I just really enjoy the main game. Sure, I do a lot of breeding/trading/battling afterwards, but the main game has this certain charm, specially on older games.

Thinking back, gold/silver were the best games. Two regions, full of soul and charm. This was it. The best time to like Pokemon.

Everything about Pokemon besides the games in the late 90s/early 00s. I loved the games too but experiencing the worldwide craze with shows and movies and toys and ad campaigns and teachers bribing kids with pokemon cards and everyone talking about it all the time at school and at sports and at the park. I remember shoplifting a sheet of puffy pokemon stickers from a Blockbuster. And there were always tons of fake/japanese cards at the swap meet. Really good times
