I love how they marketed master trainers as some epic post game. I wonder how many people bothered with it beyond the 6 you need to beat to fight Red.

Blue has story relevance. In fact, them retconning Red and Blue to being Champions before the Pokédex was finished, and actually showing Blue take up the position as Viridian Gym Leader was actually pretty nice. And even Green having her /ss/ lust moments was cool too.

But Red just being “lmao ...” again was retarded. If they didn’t wanna give him dialogue, just have another character like Oak or Lance talk for him like they did in Sun and Moon. If no one actually knew about the 6 Master requirement or didn’t both to visit the League again, they wouldn’t even know he existed because fucking no one points it out. Wasted potential

Honestly I think master trainers would work better in new regions. Having one with all the new pokemon would give people a reason to try each new pokemon introduced in that gen.
