>>39494065Maxie is probably the best he can be with Hoenn's Pokemon selection. Aggron or Golem are options too but with Camerupt as his big gun he needs speed. Starmie is an option for Archie, since no other important character uses it, but keeping it as Hoenn as possible is a deliberate choice. I just dearly wish Wailord was better.
The implied Drizzle Pelliper just reminds of all of the Sun/Moon Hoenn Pokemon buffs should have bloody happened in Gen 6. I'm glad Game Freak thinks about it at all but come on.
>>39494206Going one step further, the bottom line of Hoenn is that Swampert is basically unstoppable, bar Sidney's Cacturne if you're not packing ice beam (I have seen IRL thoughtless Swampert solos stopped cold this way and it gives me a good laugh). Starmie is a good pick too but its frail in turn. That at least half of Maxie's Pokemon could use Sun + Grass moves (chlorophyll in Shiftry's case) is the best chance he's got.
>>39494239The sad part is that someone cared enough to give the team boss a fourth Pokemon and level bump the last few bosses, but not enough to actually change anything meaningful.
