>>39495738I could never get into the Pokémon TCG, while Synchro and Pendulum format Yu-Gi-Oh were the most fun I’ve ever had with the game. Right now Links are ass but so are Tag Teams, so honestly YGO gets this one
I’ve always religiously watched Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokémon’s anime because I’ve been doing so since I was a toddler. OS, DM, AG, GX, DP, and 5D’s were all great, but ZEXAL and BW were ass. XY and Arc-V were looking to be the best seasons of their respective anime’s until they both shitted on themselves towards the end. Both SM and Vrains are snoozefests that are only semi interesting now because of the League and Ai being a villain. It’s a tie between the two.
As far as designs go, Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh are second to none. 10,000 YGO card designs and over 1000 Pokémon and forms, and the vast majority of both are well designed and extremely appealing. Again it’s a tie.
And finally the games, which Yu-Gi-Oh basically stopped pushing out besides lame duel simulators. I used to look forward to The World Championship and Tag Force games as much as the Pokémon games, but Komoney stopped producing them in favor of Duel Links, which while isn’t bad, is a phone game. Pokémon games have always been my fav heats video games and even though the quality hasn’t been that up to par recently, I still have a fun experience. Once again, it’s a tie.
So overall. It’s a tie between both franchises. I love and keep up with both of them equally. I like Vanguard and Digimon too.
