>>39507102When I was about 4 or 5 years old, I had a little Charmander figurine that came off a birthday cake--pretty sure it was one of my cousin's birthday cakes.
I remember my brother (13 months older than me) arguing with me 'til he was blue in the face that it was called Charizard, & I insisted it was Charmander, & neither of us were really hardcore Pokémon fans to begin with (our cousins were Pokémon fans & my first introduction to it was the Pokémon movie; where we all sobbed. I thought Mewtwo was a meanie), so neither of us knew for sure but were very adamant in our opinions of the name of this birthday cake decoration.
I was proven correct when our cousin showed us his Charizard card & it looked completely different from the plastic figurine I took from my cousin's birthday cake.
21 years later & I still think to myself "GET FUCKIN' REKT, SCRUB."
