Regardless of the national dex dilema, Is anyone else finding the release schedule for new information extremely slow?
Surely the backlash from cutting pokemon is the reason for it.. Or do they just not have much new content to show?

What are you talking about? This time we got actual new shit shown at E3, last time it was just "hey heres ratata with a moustache".

The reveal cycle is VERY similar to the last one. I assure you August's reveal will be the evil team just like SM's and XY's AUgust.

I'm honestly happy we dont have all new mons shown yet
I was really disappointed in 2016 when dataminers figured out there were just a ten of new mons not revealed by the time of demo's launch (Araquanid, Shiinotic etc)

I've been here since before /vp/ and its always bittersweet seeing all the leaks before even getting to play in a way.

I don't have a switch so i'm torn on whether or not i should wait to see everything on my own, or picking out my new team before playing the game as i've always done.

I agree, they're neat on their own and they have their fanbase for sure. I like the imp a lot but most of /vp/ hates him.

I hope the standard for the pokemon designs stays this consistent because im pretty happy so far.

games are much more enjoyable going in blind. Back in gen 4 when i spoiled everything for myself i was pretty bored. Turns out the most interesting thing about pokemon are the pokemon themselves, who'da thunk.

You guys are being palliative. I understand everyone wants new information specially when we got massive shit like the cull, but hype seasons has always been like that until Gen 6: New informations one time per month.
I do like Alola (inb4 muh shit taste) but one of its flaws is that I started playing it knowing 90% of the mons from hype season. We had leaks in XY, ok, but that was two or three days before game's actual launch.

I'm hoping that they're just holding off on spoiling everything like SM did. Best case scenario is that they reveal a lower amount of new Pokemon while having a sizable amount of them (more than XY/SM). Unfortunately, knowing Gamefreak, they're revealing less because there's a smaller amount of new Pokemon than even XY. As for non-Pokemon reveals, I'm pretty sure we got the big things out of the way. While I didn't look at the leaks myself, I don't see much people talking about them, which means they probably didn't reveal anything interesting beyond what we've seen so far. I remember during SM's pre-release people were constantly speculating about the revealed information and the leaks.
