>>39524983>the good- I like the towns and routes in general. They present good variety and exploring them is fun.
- The lore in Sinnoh is interesting. Especially that it's tied to legendaries.
- The best Pokedex. I can count Pokemon I dislike on my hand (Ambipom and Lickilicky).
- Relatively big postgame content. A whole new island, additional section in Victory Road, some legendaries to catch and Battle Tower. Then comes Platinum and adds even more on top of that.
- The best set of gym leaders out there.
>the bad- Overusage of HMs. Cut, Fly, Surf, Strength, Rock Smash and Rock Climb (SIX of them) are pretty much needed all the time. Waterfall can be used on temporary Pokemon but it still cockblocks you from postgame section in Victory Road. Defog is the only real optional HM.
- Absurd amount of caves. To add insult to injury, Stark Mountain and Victory Road require extremely high levels in order for Repel to work (in DP at least, shit was toned down in Platinum).
- The campaign start to drag due to slow nature of battles.
- Way too many hidden items. I suffer because of my "OCD".
>>39526704If you played the games you would know that Johto's HMs are not as annoying as Sinnoh's HMs. Whirlpool and Waterfall are used 3-4 times each (IF you count optional stuff), Rock Smash is completely skippable, Rock Climb is needed in one location and region's structure is so convenient that you rarely need Fly.
Hoenn DOES get a lot of shit about 8 HMs so I am not sure what you are talking about here.
