I liked the new pokemon introduced in gen 5, I found it a refreshing twist to have completely new pokemon, after four generations of zubats and tentacools it was a nice change of pace.
but then again, I actually played four generations of games with zubats and tentacools all over the place, I can see how it might be different for someone who had only played one pokemon game before.

Mainline Pokémon games are beyond redemption. There will never be a Pokémon game with all the Pokémon in it again. That’s enough to quash any interest I might’ve otherwise had.

Meanwhile, Masters actually looks pretty good for a gacha. Everyone that has played it seemed to enjoy it. If Pokemon is better off going in the mobile direction why hold it back for mediocre console games that will never be as good as previous entries in the series?

Gardevoir probably wasn't supposed to be feminine at first. That said, it probably didn't take long for Gamefreak to go, "...How the hell did we not see that coming?" and embrace the feminine side. Only retards can't comprehend how limiting the Pokemon selection cuts down on endgame content/online battles/trading. Not to mention that there is literally no reason why they would need to cut Pokemon from the game when they're not using new models or new animations and they're only cutting Pokemon that won't be found in the wild (meaning they won't have to program spawning locations, they just have to have their data in the game). The game doesn't seem to be any different, I would honestly love to know what the fuck the hard part of programming every Pokemon would be. It seems like something that, even if only one programmer worked on it, shouldn't take more than one week at the absolute most. Scaling up the textures seems like the hardest part.

I don't think I'm a nostalgiafag, but the sprites just look better to me. Too many of the pokemon didn't translate well to 3d models. So many of them look fat, feeble and fucked up in 3d.

Pokemon can be based on multiple things, why do people here have such a hard time understanding that. Gardevoir is a dancer, yes, but it's also a guardian angel, as demonstrated by its dex entries describing its loyalty and protection. Sirnight reflects this, giving the impression of a noble and holy guardian. The Japs probably just didn't care about the masculine connotations of sir.

I find it hard to be deleted, but this new approach is not going to solve the problem on the long run. They keep adding new mon, so when we get to 2k mons, even if they add 600 mons each game, some mons might only see the light of the day every 4th gen or so, if not more.
