Anime episode titled "Foul Weather Friends" features a metaphor for transexuals. In this episode there's an Oddish that wants to be a Hoppip.

The Oddish even paints itself so it can look like an Oddish.
It literally just gets the title of "Honorary Hoppip" at the end.
