I name them stupid shit. usually the first thing that comes to mind. If I’m having a hard time, I’ll just pick a letter and go from there.
Beedrill > Boople Nips
Sandslash > Klemming
Ivysaur > Donglesaur

Also, naming is only for nuzlockes. If you name pokemon in your main game, you... have a different approach to the games than I do, and I respect that so long as you don’t trade/wondertrade them. I release nicknamed pokemon with no discrimination. Got a shiny Syther once named Link through wondertrade.
