I need help, /vp/. I'm playing emerald, and despite not having my team planned out, I know I want to try using a ninjask. But I can't get one until before the first gym, and there are a lot of trainers and inevitable wild encounters before I gain the ability to acquire one. To prevent my starter from becoming overleveled, I decided to catch a wurmple as temorary party member to soak up xp.
However, since this arrangement is temporary, I don't want to hurt his feelings when I box him in favor of nincada. How do I spare his feelings? I feel really bad already, but I know he'll only get hurt the longer he stays on my team as dustox/beautifly get powercreeped quickly.
