Yeah Akala as well. I really like Poni Island as well but you barely spend any time in it. I do like the postgame areas though. Melemelee is tutorial hell, while Ula'ula has a lot of routes with samey encounters where there aren't as many new mons added (it's a bit better in USUM though), though the section from Route 16 to Po Town was awesome.
