All games that came out after 2008-2009 are soulless and this isn't just with pokemon because it was the ultimate turning point of the gaming industry into the pile of shit that it is today.

Also nobody cared about BW except the people who hadn't jumped off the Pokemania2 Bandwagon after HGSS died and the DS along with it.

You can do both, you know
You can use the emulator for high res clean screenshots and play using a flashcart to backup your saves too.

No, it was the late 2000s. Alot of devs bowed out and the rest that didn't had sold out or become part of big wig corporate entities. Coincidentally this period also saw some of the biggest brain drain which resulted in the influx of braindead programmers and writers who can only regurgitate the shit they heard on TV or in the news.

to this day, b2w2 is the only pokemon game I haven't finished
I believe it is the pokemon game with the worst campaign. It's basically like they looked at the kanto quest in gsc and thought "what if the whole game were like this?"
the new areas in the game are admittedly good and I enjoyed the opening up the pokestar studies quite a bit
but after that it feels so empty, there is barely any story in this game and going from elesa to clay with literally no content in between is just bad pacing

Using pk hex or using the real cart only.
That's why I am maximum master race, because I have all of those.
You can do Original FRLGRSE with a flashcart DPPTHGSS, then original DPPTHGSS > poketransfer to flashcart BW1/2. But otherwise, just pk hex and updating your savefile.
