Anon, Smash has never outsold a new Gen pair - ever. The last time it released against a pokémon title, it needed sales from two seperate consoles to do so (and only outselling it by 72k copies), while both console's versions got outsold individually by ORAS' 14.13m. Sword and Shield are selling at least 15m anon and there's no way Smash is picking up an extra 2m sales in the next 2 quarters to save itself from having its records Smashed.

I'm getting it not because I want to but simply because I've gotten every new gen on release day since DP and the idea of not getting the new generation no matter how shitty makes me feel like I'm going to break out in hives.
I'm definitely going to rush to complete the living dex though and then just give it to my little cousin so his parents won't have to buy him a copy which is essentially the same as selling it used.
