Gardevoir gets a primal reversion that turns her into an eldritch floating eye with tentacles and a red iris. The implication is that it evolved alongside humans and slowly looked like a mother to feed off human emotions and eventually it became symbiotic.
Give it human like egg group for obvious reasons too.

Honestly, the Garchomp thing could be fixed by introducing third types.
Make it Dragon/Ground/Flying.
Then make it so that weaknesses and resistances don't multiply multipliers, but just add to an existing multiplier.
That way you'd have double weaknesses registering as x3 instead of x4, and triple weaknesses registering as x4 instead of x6.
Boom. Just fixed a bunch of Pokemon held together by the flimsy glue that is Levitate.

If you want something even easier, just make whether a Pokemon levitates or not a quality separate from their ability.

My take on Gardevoir's Japanese name is although the word night is used as a shortened version from knight, it is not meant to mean "a knight in shining armor" and most so as "someone who protects" seeing as every other name aside from the Japanese name makes reference to the words guard or guardian
I'm also like 90% sure that the "sir" part of the name isn't english at all

Off yourselves. They're naturally occuring creatures, crocodiles aren't majority/all male just because they look masculine to us, butterflies aren't majority/all female just because they look feminine to us. Plenty of birds have a feminine looking male and a masculine looking female, even.

Every Pokemon should have a 50/50 gender ratio unless it's based on a creature that is actually monogender (Salazzle, Vespiquen, Miltank, Mothim, Tauros etc) or its biology requires it (Chansey, Kangashkhan).

That's literally the reason. It's the same reason why all the gen 2 and 4 evos evolve by some method that wouldn't be possible in the previous gens. Friendship, King's Rock, and Metal Coat didn't exist until gen 2, Gen 4's evo items and evolution locations didn't exist until Gen 4. Piloswine and Yanma didn't learn Ancient Power (iirc Lickitung did learn Rollout but only in Stadium so they probably just forget about it) until Gen 4 either.

Likewise, you need an incense for all the gen 3 and 4 cross-gen babies in order to explain why you couldn't get them in earlier gens. As further proof, Riolu is the only baby introduced post gen 2 that doesn't need an incense, which is because it was introduced in the same gen as Lucario so there was no worry of a retcon.

Some people also theorize that the reason we haven't gotten any new cross-gen evolutions since Gen 4 is to prevent Eviolite retcons, though I personally doubt GF would go that far.

This. Although I think the sir is English, the Japanese just cared more about the regal/elegant aspect of the word more than the masculine aspect, plus it sounds better than "ladynight" or "madamenight" or whatever.

Either male Gardevoir or Gallade shouldn't be a thing, and I'm against removing Pokemon. I don't really like Gallade, but it is quite unique.

Froslass has the same thing, just female (mono-gender split evo to an either-gender evo line)
