There's also the fact Rowlet is still selling a shitload of merch (wouldn't be surprised to see Rowlet in Decidueye hoods/Alolan starters in final evo hoods coming out after this week's episode) and was give the everstone as a reason to keep it as a Rowlet, to keep pushing merch. Ain't losing the golden goose anon.

Anon, this entire Gen has been one giant conga-line of trauma conga line for them. Us sealfags and you catfags have been dabbing on their arses since the stats leak. They got broken by their hubris and are trying to salvage some kind of pride (especially because they've seen Decidueye lose in every battle its been featured in this series, while Incineroar can't stop winning and Primarina got more cumulative screentime that it).

I'm not even a fan of any of the Gen 7 starters and think Decidueye is the worst of the trio by a far margin. Dhelmise is infinitely better than it in every way in my opinion. I've had zero interest in ever trying it out the four or so times I've gone through Gen 7. Just overall very disappointing, especially as someone who likes Grass starters in general.

Playing Gen 7 more than twice makes you a bigger numale than Decidueye, no if ands or buts.
Functionally it’s supposed to lob z-moves and get kills but alas Chandelure does the job better so long as TTar isn’t present.
