Mate, they unironically think Smash will outsell a paired Pokémon game, despite that never happening and the last time Smash managed to outsell Pokémon, it needed sales from 2 consoles (WiiU and 3DS, both of which were outsold individually) and even then they only managed 72k more sales than ORAS.
Pokémon Sword and Shield are going to break Smash's sales records and possibly sell as much as DP did on DS

Let’s go will outsell HGSS for sure not sure about outselling oras but it will be atleast the 2nd highest selling remakes.

Also switch games are 59.99 not 39.99 like past Pokémon games. So gamefreak is making more money

I seriously think you're overestimating how well it will sell in the 6 months till then, especially with Nintneod gearing up to carpet bomb the place with Pokémon Sword/Shield advertising (including pushing the nifty new Zacian/Zamazenta-branded Switch Mini). You are citing HGSS's lifetime sales against LGPEs first year. In the same time frame in similar circumstances HGSS sold 8.4 Million, the remaining amount of the total being made in the many years that followed.

The point only really stands with particularly selective context. Foot for foot, we'll see how things go, but as of now, none of the honest data reflects LGPE doing worse than HGSS in a comparable time frame or even in the future without putting up hypotheticals both on what comes next and how the market reacts.

LGPE is currently outdoing all of the remakes in terms of units sold within the first-year sales bracket. The only remakes hat come close are ORAS, which LGPE are still slightly ahead of in the same time frame.

The alternative perspective regarding the accessory would say that some of those in the market for a Pokeball Plus might consider picking up a bundle to grab an additional Pokemon game assuming the price is good to get more use out of it. We just can't say yet.
