The cry of pic related actually had it's cry broken in gen IV. Gen VI would actually have its cry fixed.

I like how Gen 5's cry used to actually sound like what the Pokémon's sound would be in real life already without Gen 6' ugly filter.
Gen 1 otherwise needed the fix since its cries were all generic

All they did was remove the reverb effect from the cries. They're actually the exact same cries just without the echo effect.

I'm specifically talking about the Gen V cries btw.

The worst part is that I don’t recognize all the sounds anymore. I used to be able to tell a Pokemon by its cry but when VI came out I now have no idea, half of them sound like bubbling toilets.
